USA: True Liberty in the Land of the Free

One of our US evangelists, Paul Adams, writes about an open-air outreach: "I was preaching in Baltimore. Two ladies in the audience stood listening and encouraging me with 'Amen, praise the Lord.' Because they responded that way, I thought they might have been Christians. So, after the meeting, I approached one of them and found out she had recently prayed to receive Christ. She was struggling to kick the drug habit.

"She said, 'I am a Lesbian; are people born this way?' I explained that she was not born that way, and showed her where God's Word says homosexuality is sin. She responded with, 'I was beaten and sexually abused as a child'. Her experience with men had been unpleasant. I was able to share God's love with her and how he sent his Son to die for people who rejected and mistreated him.

"A short time later, when her girlfriend walked up, she informed her right there that they had to stop their relationship, because God's Word says it was wrong. I braced myself for the wrath of her lover, but it never came. In fact, she allowed me to show her God's Word. I am thankful to be able to share God's awesome emancipating truth with whomever he brings my way."
