Open Air Campaigners Publications OACI Update 1999
In brief...
BRAZIL Wherever the gospel is preached, in city plazas, neighbourhoods,
streets and schools, there is a harvest of souls. More laborers are
needed.
DENMARK More than 5,000 saw and heard the gospel in a secular amusement
park this year through music, conjuring, juggling, drama, puppet theatre
and sketchboard messages.
FIJI On the island where missionaries in the 19th century were martyred,
many are coming to Christ at the open-air meetings near the market
place in Suva.
INDIA Thousands are attending our open-air showings of the Life of
Christ film, and listening to our evangelists preach. Some of those
coming to Christ are now attending churches.
IRELAND The summer has been filled with teams coming to help us evangelize,
outreaches in exciting festival events, evangelistic Bible studies,
and baptisms of new converts.
JAMAICA In just one week of school assemblies, over 7,000 were reached
between the ages of 6-16 years. During the Franklin Graham Crusade,
our director spoke to 6,000 children, with over 500 being counselled.
PARAGUAY Our Paraguayan evangelists are regularly going to various
Indian tribes to show the Jesus film, sing Christian songs, and preach
illustrated gospel messages.
SWITZERLAND Full and part-time OAC evangelists are working in the
German, French and Italian part of Switzerland, Northern Italy, and
in the Wind River Indian Reservation, Wyoming.
NORTH AMERICAN INDIANS Swiss Christians sponsored 44 Arapaho and
Shoshone children to attend a one week Bible Camp. Several children
accepted Jesus as their Savior.
IS GOD CALLING YOU TO MISSIONS?
There have never been so many opportunities to be involved in missions,
never so many open doors, and never so many people coming to Christ!
Is God calling you? If he is calling you to a front-line ministry
of evangelism, pray about serving Him with Open Air Campaigners.
Opportunities are available for service in most of our branches around
the world, as well as in new countries where OAC needs pioneer evangelists.
For details, contact the nearest OAC office.
