OACI Update 1998

In brief...

ALBANIA During the summer of 1998, Ian and Caralee Loring formed an 18-strong open-air preaching team that went out to different towns daily.

AUSTRALIA 9,000 attended a children's event organised by Franklin Graham, and headed up by Rob George of OAC. 800 were counselled afterwards.

BELGIUM Ben Van Den Akker uses his skills as an artist to reach into many areas of Belgian society - he has even appeared on television!

CANADA In Quebec, a Bible Study has been started for several key contacts from mainland China. Their schools ministry in Toronto is seeing good opportunities to share the gospel.

FIJI There is a wonderful openness to the gospel in this multi-racial country. Eroni Racule is training church teams in child evangelism and setting up clubs.

GERMANY This OACI branch has a strategic ministry reaching into Russia, Poland and other eastern bloc countries.

IRELAND At the Irish festivals, Larry O'Mahoney carries a large cross into town centres and preaches to those who gather.

NEW ZEALAND Over 2,000 young people go out to the beaches and holiday resorts of NZ to share the good news of Jesus Christ, as part of the Operation Jerusalem project.

SWITZERLAND OACI holds regular seminars in French and German-speaking Bible Colleges.

UNITED KINGDOM OAC GB is celebrating 30 years of evangelistic ministry during 1998. Eighteen major cities and population areas have an OAC branch within the UK.

USA Kurt Schaefli has been sharing the Good News among the Shoshone and Arapaho on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming since 1991.
