News in Brief
This summer Chris and Hilde Mathieson will again join the OM
Spain teams to train for and lead the evangelism on the streets. This year
they will be in Don Benito, Extremadura (extremely hot!) in July,
then close to the Mediterranean in Castellon during August. Don Benito,
with 70 000 inhabitants, is one of the largest towns in Spain without
an established evangelical church. Several large towns close to Castellon
are in the same situation.
Meanwhile, the Spanish disability ministry co-led by Chris and Hilde
will soon establish a branch reaching out to the deaf.
It is hard to believe that Colin Hadkiss has already arrived at
the end of his four-year term with MEPA. Colin has decided to seek part-time
secular employment in the region. Please pray for him, and also for
MEPA, who will miss Colin's faithful work in the office.
Mark Detzler and his family are returning to Bristol this summer,
after ten years of ministry in Italy. They plan to take a year's furlough
before deciding what to do next.
Susan Howe is starting a regular children's club in a housing estate
in Cavaillon. The last meeting attracted more than thirty children
of mainly North African origin.
