THE TRAINING CENTRE OPENS!

Recently I across an old MEPA publicity leaflet, featuring a photo of the training centre with a caption announcing that it would open at the end of 1995. Who would be a prophet?!

Over the last three years we have had our share of problems, but we have also experienced God's faithfulness. More than once it has seemed like we would have to put the project on hold due to lack of funds or labour, but on each occasion we have received an unexpected gift or an offer of help. There are still a few jobs left to do, but the end is definitely in sight!

We have learned a lot about building, and one of our French committee members jokes about MEPA being a construction company, but this is not the reason we came to France! Our hope is that the centre will be a tool for training many French Christians to be more faithful and effective in their evangelism.

We are about to send out publicity for the thirteen courses we plan to run over the next six months. We will be leading some of them, but we have also invited a number of outside speakers. Subjects include �'Reaching Moslems', �'Music with a message', �'Evangelism in church life' and �'Ventriloquism'.

This is a new step of faith for MEPA. There are many practical areas, such as scheduling and pricing, in which our experience is very limited. Please pray with us that God will enable us to make wise decisions, and, most of all, that the training centre will be used to God's glory.
