FESTIVAL OUTREACH '97

For the second year running, MEPA's main summer outreach is based in Avignon. The reason is simple: we consider the Avignon Festival to be one of the best open-air preaching opportunities in Europe. And since MEPA is based less than thirty miles away...

This year more than thirty people have joined us for Festival Outreach. A large group came from churches in Bristol, while four New Zealanders travelled halfway around the world to work with team members from Belgium, Switzerland and France. Given the potential for clashes of culture, character and even cuisine, we are pleased to see how well the team is working together.

So far the open-airs are going well, and leading to good conversations. The team has seen four decisions and two recommitments so far. But with more than 120,000 spectators expected, there is plenty of work to do. Will you consider joining us in 1998?
