CHANGED LIVES

For many years now, the enemy has made Christians all over the world believe one of his greatest lies, that people are not interested in Christ. We see this myth exposed every day as we speak to people about Christ. It really is amazing how, deep in their hearts, most people do want a spiritual dimension to their lives.

Our church in Milotopos, a village in northern Greece, aims to meet this need. At present there are two congregations in Kria Vrisi and Edessa.

The Edessa church started with a young man we met during an open-air. Later, an old man started coming as an observer, but after a while he too gave his life to Christ. Now two young ladies are coming to see what is happening; we hope God will touch them soon. There is a nucleus of believers and a base for witness in Edessa for the very first time.

The Kria Vrisi congregation was established two years ago, and results are so positive that we are thinking of renting a hall for next year. The fellowship consists mainly of young people like Nikos. "I was ready to kill people, but now I love them", he says. A short time before we met him, he went into a night club armed with a gun and two knives, set on committing a murder. But God's grace can reach anyone.

Voula, a college student who was ready to put an end to her life, met a leader of the church in a cafeteria and was led to Christ. She then led her sister, her sister's boyfriend and her mother to Christ. The whole village now knows how her life has changed.
